From June 13 to 26, Romania will host the UEFA U19 European Championship for the second time, a competition in which the young Romanian team will be automatically qualified as the hosts.
There are just 100 days left until the first whistle of the UEFA Under-19 European Championship, the 72nd edition of the competition, which was also held in Romania in 2011. The future stars of European football will play on the four stadiums selected to host matches this summer: Giulești, CSN „Arcul de Triumf,” „Anghel Iordănescu” in Voluntari, and „Ilie Oană” in Ploiești.
Starting on April 24, football fans will be able to purchase tickets for matches starting in June. The ticket prices are affordable, allowing supporters to be close to the top football action of the future European stars:
- Group stage: 4 euros (category 1) and 3 euros (category 2);
- Semifinals: 5 euros (category 1) and 4 euros (category 2);
- Final: 7 euros (category 1) and 5 euros (category 2).
The Draw will be held in Bucharest!
Once we know all 8 teams qualified for the final tournament – after the Elite Round at the end of this month – the draw for the two groups of the U19 EURO will take place at the Football House on April 15!
This is the third time the capital will host such an event, after those held during EURO 2020 and UEFA U21 EURO.
Be a volunteer at the final tournament!
As with all tournaments, matches, or international events held in Romania in recent years, volunteers will play an important role in the organization and smooth running of the competition. A total of 15 matches will be played across four stadiums in Bucharest, Voluntari, and Ploiești.
The team of volunteers dedicated to this final tournament will have the opportunity to organize, alongside UEFA staff, a major event at the European level. They will be able to contribute to daily activities with their knowledge and skills and be alongside colleagues with shared values and passions. Volunteers will be the „behind-the-scenes” team at the tournament, where the future stars of European football will be present. Only 8 teams, the best in Europe, will fight for the trophy!
